Peepholeistic - Film, Sound & Silence

Das erst kürzlich begründete Label PEEPHOLEISTIC stellt Arbeiten vor, die sich explizit mit dem Spannungsverhältnis von Film und Ton sowie Bewegung und Stille beschäftigen. Präsentiert werden dabei Projekte, die diese Auseinandersetzung unterschiedlich führen. Ob für performative Musikvideos, innovativen Film oder Live-Filmvertonungen, interessiert sich die Präsentationsplattform besonders für hybride Formen, die zwischen den Genres entstehen.

PARIS
Billy Roisz - 2017, 3.40min. Letzten Oktober hat mir die Vokalistin & Bassistin der Band Guro Skumsnes Moe ihre neue CD in die Hand gedrückt und sobald ich zu Hause das erste mal die Nummer 'paris' hörte, hatte ich eigentlich schon das fertige Video im Kopf...(...)...

DISTORTION
Lydia Nsiah - 2016, 4.40min. Interference signals on all tracks: booming, choppy sound. The image disintegrates into digital blocks, into patterns and grids; flickers and vibrates. Flashing in between is a figure, a landscape, and a face. An uncanny rush of image and sound that probes the aesthetic potential of digitally deformed film. LIQUID SONIC PALINDROME
Lisa Kortschak - 2016, 15min. An abstract music piece generated by the choreography of an ensemble of swimmers: In Lisa Kortschak’s experimental performance docu- mentary, calm and movement, silence and noise develop to a rhythmic sound composition that dra- matically unfolds in the expansive architecture of a swimming pool. F loves S
Katharina Aigner - 2009, 5min. A couple dances extremely slowly, holding each other tightly without music in a bare room. What appears to be the beginning of a love scene, leaving you full of expectations for what's to come, is all there is to see. The deceleration of what usually happens, the ambiguity of the protagonists' gender definition, and the austerity and unplaceability of the room's atmosphere keeps you in suspense. Familiar images of love are presented in unfamiliar ways and evoke different perceptions of intimacy.
