400 chinesische Arbeiter zerlegen den Stolz der deutschen Stahlindustrie, überwacht von einer Handvoll deutscher "Koker" aus dem Ruhrpott. Zwei (Arbeits)Welten prallen aufeinander, die Verständigung ist kompliziert, die Sicherheitsbestimmungen sind Anlass für ständige Querelen, und Missverständnisse stehen auf der Tagesordnung. Hoch motivierte Arbeiter aus einem Niedriglohnland treffen auf finanziell abgesicherte, aber perspektivenlose "Stillstandsverwalter" einer (ehemaligen) Industrienation.


A story of a disappearance: the ultra-modern Kaiserstuhl coal plant in Dortmund is being dismantled to be rebuilt in China. 400 Chinese workers dismember the pride of the German steel industry, supervised by a handful of German coal workers from Ruhrpott. Two (working) worlds collide, communication is complicated, the security regulations lead to constant quarrels, and misunderstandings are the order of the day. Highly motivated workers from a low-wage country come face to face with the "standstill administrators" of a (former) industrial country, who are financially secure, but have no prospects.
